Privacy Policy

Simpli-FI OS LLC. Effective September 17, 2026.

This policy explains how Simpli-FI OS LLC collects, uses, and shares information when you use Simpli-FI Family. The iPhone and Apple Watch app is for people 18 or older. The web desk at simpli-fi-family.com lets an adult create a household and add family profiles, including parent-managed profiles for children under 13. Details that apply only to children under 13 are in the Children's Privacy Notice.

Who we are

Simpli-FI OS LLC is a Texas limited liability company. Mail: 513 W Oak Street, Suite 105, Denton, TX 76201, United States. Telephone: (903) 780-9025. Privacy: privacy@simpli-fi-os.com. Support: family@simpli-fi-os.com.

What we collect from adults

When you create a household we collect the household name, your display name, and your confirmation that you are 18 or older and that you accept the Terms and this policy. If you sign in with Google we receive the identifiers Google provides (typically name and email). If you invite another adult we collect the name and email you type so we can form the invite. You may store tasks, timers, meals, grocery lists, calendar notes, and optional household budget figures you enter. Statement files you upload are processed on the device for review before you save rows. We do not pull bank credentials.

We use Google Firebase for authentication and, when cloud sync is on, storage. Google may process technical data needed to sign you in and to protect the service, including App Check. We do not run third-party advertising networks and we do not sell personal information.

An adult may add a published playbook from Articles onto the household record. That writes the playbook title and timed steps as tasks on this desk. If you tap Implement before a household exists, this browser may keep the playbook name in first-party session storage until you create the household or the tab ends. When cloud sync is on, those tasks are included in the household record stored with Google Firebase. A child profile cannot add a playbook.

Children under 13

We do not let a child under 13 open an account or sign in. A parent or guardian who is 18 or older adds a profile with a display name and an age. We ask you to use a nickname. We do not collect that child's email, password, or independent login. On a family iPad the parent switches the desk to the child profile so chores can be accepted there. See the Children's Privacy Notice for collection, use, sharing, retention, and parent rights.

Ages 13 through 17

A parent may later invite a person who is 13 or older to create a signed-in account with that person's own email. Until the parent does that, a 13-17 year old stays on a parent-managed profile, the same way as a younger child. The parent still sets sharing for anyone under 18.

How we use information

We use it to run the household desk, to assign and record chores, to keep adult sign-in working, and to honor deletion and support requests. We do not use household information to train public advertising models. Apple Health and Screen Time are not collected on the web desk. If we add those later on iPhone, we will update this policy before we collect them.

Sharing

Adults in a household see what sharing settings allow. Parents set sharing for children. Child finance, Health, and Screen Time stay off unless a parent turns them on, and Health and Screen Time are not collected on the web today. We share data with service providers who help us operate the product (including Google, for sign-in and cloud storage) under instructions to keep it confidential. We may disclose information to comply with law or to prevent serious harm.

Retention and deletion

Local household data lives in the browser until you export it or delete the local household in Settings. If you use cloud sign-in, you may delete the account through the iPhone app when that path is available, or by writing privacy@simpli-fi-os.com. Child profile data is deleted when the parent removes the profile or the household. We keep information only as long as it is needed for the household or for a legal duty.

Your choices

You may export a backup, switch who is using the shared device, edit members, and delete the local household. California residents may request access or deletion of personal information we hold, subject to exceptions in state law. We do not sell personal information, so there is no “do not sell” toggle to flip.

Security

We use ordinary industry measures for a small household product: transport encryption to our hosts, signed-in Google accounts for adults, and local storage on the family device. No method is perfect. Keep the shared iPad where you would keep a paper chore list.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will post the new date on this page. If we start collecting more information from children under 13, we will update the Children's Privacy Notice first and will not collect it until that notice is live.
