Children's Privacy Notice
Simpli-FI OS LLC. Effective September 17, 2026. This notice is for parents.
This notice describes how Simpli-FI OS LLC treats information about children under 13 on the Simpli-FI Family web desk at simpli-fi-family.com. It supplements the Privacy Policy. If this notice and the Privacy Policy differ on children under 13, this notice controls.
Who operates this service
Simpli-FI OS LLC, 513 W Oak Street, Suite 105, Denton, TX 76201, United States. Telephone: (903) 780-9025. Privacy: privacy@simpli-fi-os.com.
How a child under 13 uses the desk
A child under 13 does not create an account, does not receive an email from us, and does not sign in with Google or Apple. An adult who is 18 or older creates the household, adds a child profile, and stays responsible for that profile. On a shared iPad or computer, the adult switches the desk to the child profile so chores look like they belong to that child. Switching back to an adult profile is a parent control.
What we collect about a child under 13
The parent types a display name (we ask you to use a nickname, not a legal name) and an age. We store chores assigned to that profile, whether the child accepted or finished them on the shared device, and optional household rewards the parent attached. We do not ask the child for an email address, password, phone number, photo, or precise location. We do not collect Apple Health or Screen Time data from a child on the web desk.
Technical data that the browser sends in the ordinary course (such as a local storage key on the family device) stays on that device unless an adult signs in and later syncs the household. We do not use that data to advertise to the child.
How we use it
We use the profile so the parent can assign chores, so the child can accept and complete them on a shared device, and so the household can see a private record of what was agreed. We do not sell children's information. We do not use it for behavioral advertising. We do not post it publicly.
Who sees it
Adults in the same household, on the devices they use for the desk. If an adult later connects a cloud account, household data may be stored with Google Firebase, which processes it for us to run the service. We do not share a child's information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect a person from serious harm.
How long we keep it
We keep a child profile only while the parent keeps the household. If the parent deletes the profile or the household, we delete the child information from that household record. Local browser copies are removed when the adult deletes the local household. Cloud copies, when they exist, are removed when the adult deletes the household or the account, subject to short-lived backups used for reliability. We do not keep children's information indefinitely.
Parent rights
You may review the information stored on a child profile, refuse further collection, or ask us to delete it. Use People on the desk to edit or remove a profile, or email privacy@simpli-fi-os.com. We may take reasonable steps to confirm you are the parent before we honor a deletion request that arrives by email.
When the child turns 13
After a child turns 13, a parent may invite that person to create a signed-in account with their own email. Until then, they stay on a parent-managed profile without login.
iPhone app
The Simpli-FI Family iPhone and Apple Watch app is for adults 18 or older. It does not create child profiles. This notice applies to the web desk. Playbooks on Articles are for adults. A child profile cannot add a playbook to the household.
A short note for kids, if a parent wants to read it aloud: this desk is a family chore list. A parent put your nickname here. You do not need to give us your email. Ask a parent if you have questions.
